priced for quick sale: '03 SV650S for track bike/non street use, BOS only $1

EDIT: I don't know why it says $1.... I must have started to type the price and forgotten to finish it. I can't edit the title now. Price is not $1

Ok, long story short, bought this bike from my friend (I'm 3rd owner, got it with roughly 4K miles in 03/08), lost the title. Never bothered to get a dupe as I wasn't riding, friend moved to TN. Theoretically, I could get the paperwork, mail it back and forth, and eventually get a duplicate title and make the bike street legal. Well, I'm leaving GA in a few days and don't feel like dealing with that, so I'm selling it with BOS only, for non-street use.

Bike was crashed at low speed (<15mph) by my friend (why he sold it to me) and everything that was scraped was replaced by insurance, except the factory lowers (which were removed). I fell over once at 8mph while I owned it, which resulted in a few scrapes on the frame slider. Most recently, while parked in my apt. complex, the bike was hit and knocked over. Upper fairing is cracked but functional, some assorted scratches here and there, nothing major or mechanical.

While I maintained it regularly while riding it, the bike has been sitting for the last year. I stored it with a full tank, but no stabil, so it'll need some seafoam, but there shouldn't be any rust. I have not started it. If you want to start it/look at it, you will need to bring jumper cables, sorry.

    2003 SV650S
Burnt Copper (only made for 1 year)
    16xxx miles
R&G frame sliders (they work with factory lowers)
    Yoshimura RS3 CF slipon
    Competition Werks FE
Flush mount turn signals front and rear

Bike ran great when parked, but will soon need:
    Battery
Tires (Had newish tires when parked)
    Chain/Sprockets

I also have some spares laying around, like the factory tool kit, a radiator fan, a rear master cylinder, and various things like that. Anything that I find will be thrown in for free.

KBB retail for one in good condition is $3130

$1900 OBO... Cash talks, I'm leaving town soon. Willing to pay $50 finder's fee. Bike is located off Towne Lake and 575, I'll go up and take pictures of her as she sits tomorrow.

Also, for an extra $150 you can have the set of '03 gixxer 750 USD forks I bought to put on it but never did. They're missing most of the hardware, you'd need (offhand): brakes, rotors, wheel, clipons, and all associated hardware

For the quickest response or specific picture requests, TEXT me at 770 five one oh 8164.

Has it been sitting outside the whole time? Any rust on the frame/wheels/brakes etc? When you open the tank can you see any rust? Would you be willing to try and start it before I made the drive? I bought one just like this off the board without hearing it and the motor was bad.

never seen the bike, but I can tell you there's no rust on the frame or wheels as both are aluminum... and I would love to grab this up but I have 4 bikes right now that I'm doing paperwork on to get titles and I'm not sure I want another just yet! When are you leaving and will you be back?

Well, I went to take pictures today... and it's not where I left it sitting (at my friend's house)... waiting to hear back, hoping they moved it somewhere I couldn't find it, and that it's not stolen.

Wera: I have someone local interested, she has first dibs (assuming it's found), but when I parked it: no rust anywhere, it's been outside but mostly under cover, I'll check the tank if/when I find it. And I'm more than willing to try to start it, again, assuming it's found.

I'm leaving in a few days (no set date.. whenever I feel like it), and I dunno if or when I'll be back.

Caliper bolts, rotor bolt, engine bolts, steering stem, forks, pitch bolts, rotors etc is what I was referring to. Thanks for your valuable input though.

No biggie I have a clean titled frame just sitting from one of my race bikes so I thought with it and all the spares I have I could make a decent street bike.

Ah. Just for the record, I posted it in the other thread, but not here: I'm still in contact with the previous owner, he's a friend of mine. Any potential purchaser could turn this into a street legal bike simply by corresponding with him and getting all the paperwork taken care of. I just lack the time and inclination to do so. I'd be more than happy to forward his contact information, and he's already told me he'll cooperate with whoever buys the bike if they choose to go that route.
